Get a double dose of walking corpses, rotting flesh and grisly horror in The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return. This bloodcurdling compilation includes The House.
Product Information. Jump into action and horror with two spine-chilling tales featured in The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return.
The horror-themed video game was the first rail-shooter type of game for Nintendo. It had a release date of March 2008 by Sega America. It is based on the previously released House of the Dead arcade version. The game combo pack is meant to be played on the Nintendo Wii platform. It is a first-person shooter video game with an ESRB rating of M for mature due to the presence of gore, blood, violence, and horror throughout gameplay of these video games. This Wii game consists of the original gaming experience with expanded storylines. The House of the Dead shooting game is compatible with the Zapper peripheral, although it is possible to play without the gun peripheral if you wish.Over six game modes and bonus content are included in the House of the Dead compilation for the Wii.
In fact, it includes the best of both worlds. The rapid-fire capabilities of the motion controller or the Zapper peripheral allow you to relive the days of playing this game before the advent of home consoles. Mow down clawing zombies, frightening ghouls, and other terrifying monsters in the streets during Time Attack or Extreme Mode. In Time Attack mode, health is replaced over time. Extreme mode is challenging because the enemies are stronger and the player has a smaller blast radius with his shotgun.
The smaller blast means players must have better accuracy when taking shots. Both modes offer nuanced fighting capabilities, different characters, intense enemies, and more.In total, there are 12 levels and six modes for gamers to defeat, including Survival and Arcade. Players can many different paths, but the final destination always remains the same.
One of the most exciting things to play is the Boss mode, where gamers can take on any featured boss. Through the game's co-op mode, you and a friend can begin targeting zombies together in many of the modes. A training mode and mini games are also featured. Weapons that were featured in the first House of the Dead are featured in this compilation as well. The new gameplay options allow weapons to be used up close for melee attacks and blocking enemy blows.
However, melee attacks require the player to reload each time they shoot, but an auto-reload feature makes this process fast and easy. To reload, simply shoot the Zapper gun off-screen. Ammo will replenish without having to pull the trigger. The ability to reload fast allows you to take on more monsters than ever before in the same story. Sega compiled the best features of House of the Dead 1 and 2 into a brand-new experience.
The compilation features vibrant graphics and tutorials that stay true to the original but add crisp details. The video tutorials use gameplay footage to teach gamers tricks and tips that will help them become victorious. Get ready to fight real and undead monsters in The House of the Dead shooter game for the Wii.
Cut a single zombie or a horde of a dozen with new weapons, and you'll live to die another day. House of the Dead 2&3 (Wii)This game offers wireless arcade style gaming from the comfort your living room. I remember playing this game in a few arcades around town. The Wii version is the exact same as the arcade version minus the pocket full of quarters required to play it!!Hardware:You don't need a nunchuck for this one, so there's no wires to deal with. We use 2 wireless nyko perfect shot pistols wich are great for this game! The wii zapper also comes in handy, delivering a more comfertable grip during long games.Graphics:The graphics in House of the Dead 2, are less than what you would expect from a next generation console. But, the realistic arcade feeling more than makes up for it.
The graphics in House of the Dead 3, are conciderably better.Gameplay:There are 2 different games here! Both offer un lockable material, bonus items and features like Boss attack. You can unlock infinate continues on either game to REALLY enjoy the titles. It can be irritating starting the games from scratch when your 'quarters' run out!
Overall gameplay I'd give a 9 out of 10 though, as the point and shoot feeling of the arcade is simply fantastic!!!Overview:Great game for Wii partys, or just solo zombie killing! Graphics aren't great but actual gameplay is top notch!
The terrable voice acting in this one is hallarious, and every aspect of the game spells F U N. Run out and grab this one if you haven't already!!.
ZOMBIE KILLIN' FUN!!!What a great game. It brings back memories of playing in old arcade/Odyssey Fun Worlds. Some people say the graphics are poor even for the years that they came out, but I beg to differ. The graphics are pretty good I tink. The story is meh, but it's all about the gameplay. In House of the Dead 2, you can take multiple paths all leading to the final boss.

It depends on what civilians you save. Plus there are a ton of items to pick up in 'Original Mode' to change how much ammo you have or what you can where. In House of the Dead 3, the graphics are in my opinion not as good, but still not bad.

Story is still meh, but action is still there. This game is much easier than the second game. There aren't as many extras either.
Still a good game though. All in all, it's a great buy for House of the Dead fans and shooter fans!!!. Good shoot-em-up!I like the fact that U can calibrate the Wii remote separately, even if U have the Wii Zapper, or one of its thousand clones out there with a red dot sight on the trigger. Good that it has different modes of play, too, if you just want to blast away, or if you need something more challenging. Only downside is that my trigger finger(s) (when I play 'gangsta style;-) ) get tired from the constant pulling, as I don't think there's a full auto mode for the Zapper-must check that. But that just tells me to take more breaks!Overall a GREAT game!. Great game!Buy it, love it, play it, shoot it, fun fun fun!
What the Wii should be played with. It has fantastic controls, the graphics are great, really a classic arcade shooter. I know the 'first' one looks bad but thats the old old arcade one and its a classic, love the voice acting, just absolute crap, but funny for that. The second one is much better graphic wise and gameplay wise, just a more polish game than the first one. So get it, its wonderful and I really do wish the Wii would have more games like this, not the crap Wii Music.:P.
